With Spring not far away now, perhaps it's time to start thinking about leaving the burrow, sniffing the air and seeing what's out there.
An important aspect of practising Tai Chi and Qigong is community. Locking yourself away in a room with drawn curtains, intensely practising then giving yourself a pat on the back is probably not going to yield very sound results. In our classes we always encourage students to work in groups; interacting, watching, absorbing together. We are human and therefore social creatures - why should we not practice and develop socially?
In this world of the internet, there are many information and networking sites available, where you can find out more about what you are practising, what others are practising, and how to meet up with like-minded folk. Here are a few examples that we relate to at Longwater Tai Chi:
