Online Teaching Works

Online Teaching Works!

WIth COVID and lockdown we are finding that online learning for Tai Chi and Qigong is not only possible but beneficial. Here's what some of our students have to say:

"Hope you both had a good break and thanks for all your hard work and dedication in producing a series of excellent videos and on-line sessions. I even dreamed we did some classes in a hall!  I feel Longwater Tai Chi has played a large part in keeping me physically and emotionally well." - Bette

"I just wanted to say how much I am appreciating doing your Tai Chi Chi Gung classes on Stay Connected. It's a wonderful, generous offering. I am recovering from an auto-immune condition which was diagnosed over 4.5 years ago. Prior to this I found that pilates and yoga really didn't suit me, causing headaches mainly through exercises which affected my neck. A friend recommended the Stay Connected videos and I find the gentle, but effective exercise suits me very well and I was surprised how much stronger my legs felt after just a few sessions." - Mary

Our most popular class

Our Most Popular Class!

Our most popular classes are called "Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi", practised by millions throughout the world. The movements are performed with music and are relaxing and easy to follow. Suitable for beginners and experienced students alike. At the moment we are unable to run classes in our usual venues, and have moved them online, but keep watching this space for any developments.

What is Tai Chi?

What is Tai Chi?

Unlike aerobics and most forms of modern Western exercise, Tai Chi steadily teaches you how it is possible to achieve vibrant health and assist healing through correct body alignments and low-impact movements. It is based most importantly on moderation, known as the 70% Rule.

The internal health aspects of Qigong practised alone or within Tai Chi can help relieve physical, emotional and mental tension and stress and pave the way to self-healing. We believe that the way we teach Tai Chi is safe for people of all ages and levels of fitness.
